Update of Asma Yaqoob Burnt Case

Asma Yaqoob Murder Case| District & Session Court Sialkot has on Tuesday 16 / 07 //2019 sentenced Rizwan Gujjar to death and Five Lakh Pakistani Rupees fine for torching Asma Yaqoob using petrol after she refused to marry him, renounce her faith and convert to Islam.

The accused, Rizwan Gujjar, was found guilty of sprinkle patrol on Asma Yaqoob and set her on fire just because she refused to marry him, renounce her religion

On 17-04-2018. As a result her 90% body was burnt she got admitted in hospital where she died on 22-04-2018 at about 8:30 pm. Later on criminal case was lodged against Rizwan Gujjar and local police investigate the case and completed the challan of case and sent to Anti Terrorist Court Gujranwala.

Anti Terrorist Court after examining the case, forward it to court of District and Session Judge Sialkot as due to the dispute regarding the appropriate forum for hearing the case.

On 25 /09/2018 District and Session Judge Sialkot framed the Charge against accused Rizwan Gujjar under section 302 Pakistan Penal code and initiated the criminal trial of the accused.

Court Pronounced continued about ten months and prosecution evidences were examined and arguments were produced from both complainant and defence side finally the court has announced its verdict today.
